As a working abbey and a major tourist attraction a lot of work needs to done to maintain this historic building and in the ministries we carry out as a church. The vast majority of this work is carried out by a dedicated and hard working team of volunteers, but a small number of more formal roles are paid. From time to time vacancies arise for these paid roles and when they do, they will be shown below.

Bookshop Assistant Manager - Part Time, Maternity Cover, Up to 12 Months

The Abbey Bookshop is looking for someone to provide maternity cover for the Assistant Manager. The part-time role will be for up to a year and will involve working 15 hours per week, 5 afternoon sessions Monday to Friday. This rewarding job will involve working with the Abbey stewards and visitors and shop management with a focus on Christian books.
