Giving

Giving is one of the ways where we can, in a practical way, offer our thanksgiving and worship to God, and draw close to Him.

Thank you for thinking about giving to the mission and ministry of Malmesbury Abbey. Any way at all in which you can give, financially or of your time, is enormously valued.

The most helpful way of giving to the Abbey is through one of the regular giving schemes.

REGULAR GIVING

PARISH GIVING SCHEME

Set up regular giving with a simple phone call to the scheme’s staff. Our Treasurer can give you details and the telephone number to get you started.

STANDING ORDER

Set up a standing order with your bank. Contact us for our bank details and let us know whether we can claim Gift Aid on your donations.

ONE OFF DONATION

ONLINE

Make a one-off donation online using a debit or credit card and you will be given the opportunity to gift aid the donation. Please enter your details as you give so that we can acknowledge your gift.

BANK TRANSFER

You can also make a one-off donation by bank transfer. Our bank details are available from our Treasurer and let her know if you can Gift Aid your donation.

CHEQUES or CASH

We would prefer to receive gifts electronically, but we recognise that this is not easy for everyone. If a cash or cheque donation is the only option for you our donation box in the Abbey is available for use whenever the Abbey is open.

GIFT AID

Gift Aid is a really valuable source of income for the Abbey. If you pay income tax or capital gains tax in the UK, we can claim an extra 25p on every £1 given, at no extra cost to you.

To enable us to do this please select “Yes, Claim Gift Aid” when you are donating online. If you are giving by standing order, bank transfer or cheque, please ask our Treasurer for a Gift Aid form or download here. Any personal details you give will be held and used strictly subject to our GDPR policy.

For more information please email our Treasurer (treasurer@malmesburyabbey.com).

GIVE YOUR TIME

The vast majority of the work maintaining our Abbey building, looking after visitors and carrying out our ministries is done by dedicated and hard-working volunteers from both within the church community and outside it.  We are truly thankful to everyone who gives their time, experience and skills in any capacity and welcome and encourage anyone who would like to help in any way, however frequently you are able.

If you would like to enquire about volunteering please contact the Parish Office or talk to any of the volunteers you will find in the Abbey.
